Hello, my name is Dr. Alan Farrugia founder, practitioner and Director of Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics. Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics was founded based on my personal and professional experience as a dental patient, parent and practicing dentist.

As a child, I suffered extensive dental trauma from a roller skating accident. Since it was Saturday, most dentists would not “see” me until Monday. Finally, after much pleading, a kind dentist finally agreed to treat my emergency. Subsequently, in order to restore my mouth, I endured countless visits to the dentist as well as countless visits to multiple dental specialists. I vividly recall how difficult and frustrating it was for my parents to check me out of school and coordinate my treatment among different dental offices. Even then, I often wondered why these dentists and specialists didn't work together in one office. Although I appreciated the compassionate care, I knew there was a better way to deliver dental care. This life experience made a tremendous impact which inspired my career in Dentistry.

It has been my life's work to build an expert team of like-minded dentists and dental specialists who work together at Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics. The traditional model of a single general Dentist practicing solo is quickly becoming outdated.
